A classic Festbier bright gold in color brewed exclusively with German malts and German Noble hops. Featuring great malty and bready characters throughout with a crisp clean finish. A perfect pairing with a large pretzel or bratwurst. Prost! Our Festbier was inspired by a group of almost 1,000 German sailors that formed their own village right here in Portsmouth, VA at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard before the U.S. entered WW1. Unable to outrun the British Royal Navy they chose internment and remained in political limbo for over a year charging an admission fee for American tourists while offering German handmade goods, food, and of course, beer!
