Hazy IPA
ABV: 6.8%

This year’s veteran blend has some of the best known hop varieties that include Citra, El Dorado, Simcoe, Ekuanot, and Crystal. Big notes of grapefruit and melon are present on the nose and provide a juicy flavor with a smooth body. This seasonal hazy IPA is sure to satisfy your thirst for hop forward beers

Belgian Dubbel

Members of the Coastal Virginia Brewery Alliance gathered at Makers Craft Brewery in Norfolk, VA to join in the ongoing efforts to help parts of  Western North Carolina and Southwestern Virginia recover from the devastation of Hurrican Helene. Together, we brewed up a delicious and well crafted Belgian Dark Strong Ale/Quad that we hope will make a positive impact on the families of those affected by this natural disaster. With the help of White Labs Yeast, we were able to pitch an incredible Belgian yeast strain that really brings out all the incredible aromas and flavors you can expect from an amazing Belgian ale. This strong Belgian ale features dark crystal malts and the perfect amount of hops to make this an exceptionally smooth and wonderfully textured ale. Pale Wheat Ale
ABV: 5.0%

A deliciously smooth ale brewed with over 50% malted wheat. A generous amount of blueberries are added during the secondary fermentation creating a beautiful light purple color. A subtle berry aroma and flavor blends nicely with softness of the malted wheat making this an exceptionally drinkable beer.

Classic Festbier
ABV: 5.7%

A classic Festbier bright gold in color brewed exclusively with German malts and German Noble hops. Featuring great malty and bready characters throughout with a crisp clean finish. A perfect pairing with a large pretzel or bratwurst. Prost! Our Festbier was inspired by a group of almost 1,000 German sailors that formed their own village right here in Portsmouth, VA at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard before the U.S. entered WW1. Unable to outrun the British Royal Navy they chose internment and remained in political limbo for over a year charging an admission fee for American tourists while offering German handmade goods, food, and of course, beer!

Light Lager
ABV: 4.2%

Hard Seltzer
ABV: 5.0%

Named after the founder of Portsmouth – William “Colonel” Crawford, this classic seltzer is flavored with the refreshing combination of strawberry, watermelon and lemonade.

Schwarzbier
ABV: 4.9%

Deep and dark in appearance yet incredibly smooth and crisp as you would expect from a classic German lager. This beer was brewed with de-husked dark roasted malts that deliver rich dark colors but restrained roasted or coffee flavors.

Helles Bock
ABV: 7.0%

Our Helles Bock is just in time for spring. This Helles (Pale) Bock is brewed with the finest German malts and noble hops. It has a brilliant copper color with a soft bready and toasted malt aroma. Mildly sweet and malty clean finish.

Brown Ale
ABV: 5.2%

A wonderful blend of crystal and dark malts bring out a nutty and caramel aroma with a hint of chocolate. The malty flavors are balanced by a medium hop bitterness that ends with a smooth and slightly sweet finish.
